Fashion Show 2016 Success

Over 500 people attended the Society’s fundraising Fashion Show in Greenock Town Hall on Wednesday 12 October 2016. Guests were treated to the latest fashion designs from Chesca, Envy, James Lakeland, Breathless, Straps of Gourock, Robertson Outwear Greenock, Hats by Anna Maria of Ultimate Design.

Guests were also treated to a wide range of trade stands by a number of local shops and with some coming from as far as Ayr. The Fashion Show was compered by Helen McCormick.

The models were all local women who freely volunteered their time in support of the Society. They in turn were supported by a cast of male models much to the delight of the mainly female audience. Volunteers took good care of the models ensuring their makeup and hair were in pristine condition for the catwalk.

A selection of lively music accompanied the models on the catwalk.

Guests were entertained at intervals through the evening by singer Martin Aelred.

A grand total of £5,200 was raised at the Fashion Show and will be used for the benefit of residents at Bagatelle and Glenfield.

The Society is indebted to everyone who helped at the event in particular the models who did a very professional job. Out thanks also goes to Jean Gourley who masterminded the whole event.
